hiragi_ukyo is spot on! NPIL always makes great albums! I love the addition of songs both with and without vocals, makes me realize for sure that Yu has the most unique vocals in all of Black Metal, I can also tell by the music itself is Yu's music! but given the choice, I'd always prefer vocals over no vocals. simply an amazing artist with amazing music, I love to hear! 100!!!!!!! :) update: Naraku and What I Feel CDs arrived today! package was almost lost! but here now! 🙂

Le No Point in Living de 2018 était très axé sur un black metal mélodique et suicidaire — combo parfait pour piéger toute personne qui s'en approche — mais il faut croire que ce n'était pas suffisant puisque Yu enregistre aussi cette année la musique de l'album Idolatry qu'il complètera avec sa voix en 2020. Et le black metal d'Idolatry, il TABASSE ! Colérique et old-school avec par moments une petite touche de blackgrind ("Grim Reaper", "Idolatry"). Il passe vite (30 minutes) mais défoule bien.

first heard this album around 3:30am one night last summer, while I was really drunk and depressed. just randomly came up on YouTube. really love the ambient, calming soothing feel to it, and I revisit it often, when the mood is right. great to see it on CD as well! :) the artwork definitely matches the feeling of the music!

Après un The Sea of Grief qui n'était pas un mauvais disque à proprement parler mais quo était perfectible, la faute à un excès de prudence à mon avis, No Point in Living redresse la barre seulement un mois après avec Victims. Yu, on le connaît très bien déprimé, on le connaît aussi progressif ; mais Yu contestataire ? Victims dénonce les morts liées aux décisions politiques (probablement par rapport à la pandémie, mais c'est peut-être plus large) avec un heavy black remarquable plein de punch.
